Why We Love Topshop

Topshop has so much to offer its customers, whether you want stylish, affordable clothing or designer brands. Not only does the store have petite and tall collections, but also Topshop does gorgeous maternity clothing, so you can look stylish at any stage.

If you’re looking for a unique shopping experience, Topshop Oxford Circus is the place to go. As Topshop’s ‘founding flagship’, it offers customers three floors of clothing, with over 50 brands. The London store also has its own personal shopping experience for those of you who are looking for one-on-one advice.

Topshop has also collaborated with Beyoncé to create activewear label, Ivy Park. Recently celebrating its first anniversary, Topshop Ivy Park can dress you from head to toe, whether you’re a gym bunny or a runner.

One of our favourite pieces is the chic corset-waist mini skirt, which also come in petite for shorter ladies. Following the corset trend, we love the pink stripe shirt dress with corseted sides, which also comes in blue.

Our chosen Topshop coats are the red frill-hem blazer dress and, because it’s always raining somewhere, the yellow hooded raincoat mac. If bright shades aren’t your thing, it comes in many other colours.

From the extensive range of Topshop dresses, we’ve found the cutest floral jacquard prom midi dress. This yellow dress could be worn to a summer wedding or garden party. Plus, it is now only £40, marked down from £115, so it pays to look in the Topshop sale. From the Topshop maternity range, we’ve chosen a gorgeous cold-shoulder broderie dress, which would pair well with the mid sandals from DAISY.

There is a lot of crochet in this year’s Topshop swimwear, so we’ve picked out the crochet bikini bralet and shorts to wear over your bikini. But if you prefer a full swimsuit, the green plunge swimsuit is sexy, yet modest.

Instagram fashion influencer and blogger, Laura Jade Stone, always keeps up to date with the latest trends. Here she is looking very chic in a mustard yellow jacquard tuck neck blouse, with a floral embellished skirt. A simple black crossbody back completes the look.

This simple, chic outfit can be worn for a sophisticated daytime look, or add a simple piece of jewellery (such as a silver bangle) to take it into the evening. The floral embellished skirt also comes in cream for those of you who are looking for a lighter outfit.

If you want to replicate Laura’s look, choose a nude nail varnish, stay natural with your makeup, and add a bold, matte lip colour to accentuate your pout.

Jordan and Kemper are a husband and wife blogging team from Louisiana. Sharing a passion for shopping, fashion and photography, they are ones to look out for when trying to find style inspiration.

Kemper’s summer swimwear look is bright and beautiful; perfect for a day at the beach or a pool party. At £26, the colour block swimsuit is a key item for your summer wardrobe. The peach colour block accentuates your waist, while light and dark oranges will balance out your hips and chest. A great look for those who want to be sexy without showing too much skin.

Always remember to protect those eyes with a stylish pair of sunglasses, too. The rimless aviator sunglasses from Topshop are cool and stop you squinting in that sunlight. And don’t forget to throw a scrunchie in your beach bag to pull your hair out of the way.

Beyoncé

As we mentioned earlier, Beyoncé co-founded Topshop’s activewear range, Ivy Park – a brand undoubtedly named after her daughter, Blue Ivy. Having just celebrated its first anniversary, we thought we’d show you what Ivy Park has to offer, as worn by Queen Bey herself.

Beyoncé is wearing the V-back mesh insert bra and low-rise ankle leggings. Not only is black a more flattering colour to exercise in, but also it hides the evidence of a hard workout. No one likes to look in the mirror after a yoga session and see sweat patches.

We love this brand because it is simple and practical. We can all imagine having a Beyoncé booty while doing our squats. Be sure to add to the mix a pair of workout in a quality pair of sports socks to avoid your shoes rubbing. You can’t use a blister as an excuse to miss your next gym session.

  • Topshop tall isn’t just for the taller ladies – you may want to try it if you have longer legs.
